Local Walks

Whether you want a stroll along the shore front at the harbour, a gentle walk along Ullapool River or head up Ullapool Hill, you can be sure of stunning views whichever way you turn.

Here are a selection of local walks. There is a walk for everyone here, with three being accessible from the village centre without the need for a car. We will be adding to this page as we map further routes.

For the more serious walker and climber, you are less than an hour from the famous peaks and mountains of Stac Pollaidh, Cul Mor, Ben More Coigach, Suilven and south to Benn Dearg and An Teallach. Ullapool is at the centre of a walkers’ paradise.

Do make sure you are suitably equipped before heading out and always check the weather conditions as well as your mobile phone coverage. Remember that there are experienced mountain guides in the village who can accompany you on longer distance routes. See our Activities section.
