The Highland Bothies is owned and run by a young local family offering a luxury Glamping experience, based on a working croft overlooking Ullapool and beautiful Lochbroom in Wester Ross on the stunning north-west coast of Scotland (on the North Coast 500 route). In addition to a small herd of sheep and our Shetland pony, Casper, we often see a herd of wild deer that roam the hill-side directly behind the Bothies, and buzzards flying over-head.
The Highland Bothies are in the perfect location for you to sit back, completely relax and take in the wonderful views of Lochbroom, the mountains of An Teallach and Beinn Ghobhlach, and out to the Summer Isles. Or take a leisurely stroll around the local independent shops, art galleries and the busy harbour of Ullapool, with time out in one of the plentiful coffee shops and bars (some hosting live music). Venture further to find golden strands or hidden bays with gleaming white sands to rival any Caribbean beach when the sun shines, and the iconic mountains of Assynt are a must-see, whether you are a climber or not, and are just a short drive away. With all this breath taking scenery it's little wonder that the area inspires geologists, photographers, artists, walkers, climbers, cyclists, sailors, rowers, divers, snorkelers, wild-life watchers and wild swimmers.
