The next stage of our project to brighten up the village will be planting out of containers, and other areas at various locations, hopefully in place by the end of April.
We already have a fund started at Ullapool Nurseries, helped by the generous donation from Tesco, and if you would like to make a monetary contribution, a collecting tin is there.
But we're hoping that some people might have surplus plants (perhaps from dividing), extra annuals & bedding plants, or any seasonal bulbs.
We've plenty places to put them!
They can be left in he front garden of the Old Police House in Quay Street (opposite the Caley Hotel entrance) and we'd be grateful for a label.
On a related matter - we're also looking for old (un-seaworthy) fibre glass boats... doesn't matter what condition. They are going to be painted and filled with flowers/plants and placed around the village. Happy to collect.
