An talla solais, Ullapool Visual Arts in partnership with the Isle Martin Trust is pleased to host an environmental public art installation by New York City based artist Alastair Noble as an outreach project on Isle Martin, 3 miles north of Ullapool, North West Highlands, Scotland. This project alludes to a short story by the Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges ‘On Exactitude of Science’. Noble’s project for Isle Martin is the second in a series of six worldwide projects.
On Saturday 18th July, Alastair Noble will lead the performance and the environmental installation piece on Isle Martin. Summer Queen Ferry (free) leaves Ullapool Pier 8.30am, returns 5.00pm. Isle Martin Ferry leaves from Ardmair at 1.00pm onwards, returns 4.30pm onwards. (Very restricted numbers & small charge will be made for the Isle Martin Ferry. Early booking essential.
