| Description |
North Highland Connections and RSAMD present two of Shakespeare’s greatest works at The Macphail Centre, Ullapool as part of their ongoing collaboration in the North.
King Lear directed by Gordon Barr Wednesday 3 June – 1.30pm & 7.30pm When King Lear chooses to divide his kingdom between his 3 daughters, he sets in motion a terrifying chain of events that no one could have foreseen. The ensuing struggle for power sees families ripped apart and greed & cruelty vie with loyalty & love in a powerful and tragic tale.
Julius Caesar directed by James Robert Carson Thursday 4 June – 1.30pm & 7.30pm We are living through a period of profound political and social turbulence. Politics is increasingly necessary to our everyday existence. No longer can hands off attitude to economic activity be tolerated. It is destroying our societies. Regime change has come to the world’s most powerful country. We struggle to find meaningful ideas that can make our social life seem healthy again. It seems like a good time to explore this great play.
